Who is this "Street Reporter" guy?

A college graduate, husband, father of two, and long time veteran of the Tampa Bay Spoken Word and Hip-Hop scene, Pedro el Poeta has behind him a long list of accomplishments. These include: opening for legendary Hip-Hop icons, Cypress Hill; George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelics; Russell Simmon's Def Poetry Jam on Broadway; being an honorary speaker at TEDx Tampa Bay 2011; and performing the entire soundtrack of an internationally acclaimed, multi-award-winning short film, "Torn Asunder." He has also produced three albums, including “the Street Reporter EP,” which was executive produced by Lance Quinn (Bon Jovi, Talking Heads, Star Wars, etc.). With a style all his own, filled with witty lyricism, great sense of timing, and a powerful stage presence, this Nicaraguan-born, D.C.-raised poet is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the scene.

His style has been compared to that of Tupac, Atmosphere, Saul Williams, Immortal Technique, Jay-Z, Jedi Mindtricks, Pitbull, Sage Francis, Eminem, and other greats.

Pedro el Poeta is avalable for booking either as a solo act or as a band.
